| Thallus pale fawn to dark brown, thin, smooth, somewhat glossy. Ascomata brown, numerous, crowded, initially fissurine and indicated by thin brown lines on the thallus surface, becoming subsessile to sessile, straight, curved or sinuous, occasionally branched, 1–3 (–4) mm long, 0.15–0.30 mm wide; lips closed. Proper exciple apically carbonised, covered by a thin thalline layer. Hymenium 125–150 µm thick. Ascospores 8 per ascus, pale brown, submuriform, 4 × 2-locular, 13–18 × 6–10 µm. CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected. |
